About The Copy/Share/Paste of Z drive files:
Skip if you're running short of time
Unfortunately enough, just by "Copy Share and Paste" of z:\system\apps\gs
wont do the trick, contrary to what was proposed earlier. It was a misconception. So, forget the dream. There's a number of probable reasons why it doesn't work
Number 1
Due to having same uid, the default Settings App will launch. Z drive enjoys the system preference.
Number 2
The function depends upon many system libraries, which wont show triband until you completely flash them out.
Moral of the story:
There's no SHORTCUT, you have to Flash to get the Flesh
Our Final verdict
Skip if you're running short of time

About N70 Internet Edition (WTF?) Skip if you're running short of time
Majority (if not all, I repeat) N70 are so called "Music" edition. "Non-Music" edition original N70 firmwares are rare breed, some of them are "Internet Edition".
They have a THREE OPTION tab for Band Selection: WCDMA/GSM/DUAL, unlike the "Music edition" N70 firmwares where we had only TWO-TIER OPTION for Band Selection: GSM/DUAL.
That invariably means, in N70 "InternetEdition " firmwares, it is possible to have a Stable 3G "Lock" using its default facility, without messing anything with Phoenix (albeit, its only a temporary Lock, you can't change to other modes, lock will be gone) as in case of a "Music edition". Moreover, even after thousands of experiments for using FTD Net Monitor on N70ME (I have tried all available versions, but of no avail) rendered futile waste of time. None worked!!
So, I had to hunt for a more stable deal. And is confirm that with Upgrade to IE firmware, you'll have THREE TIER OPTIONS for Band Selection.
